When you use the form on our website, we receive your name, email, phone number (if you give it), business name and message. We use them only to reply and to make the free mock-up or quote you asked for. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. The form is delivered to us by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co).
If you use the chat, what you type is processed by the AI services that power it, so it can answer you. Please don't type anything sensitive. If you leave your details for a call back, we use them only for that.
We sometimes write to local businesses by post or in person, using business details they've made public (such as a shop's name and address). Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in offering our services to local businesses. Tell us "no thanks" at any time and we'll never contact you again, and delete your details if you ask. We never send marketing emails or texts to sole traders who haven't asked for them.
If you become a client, we keep your details, agreement and invoices for as long as the law requires for our tax records (at least six years). If your website collects your customers' details, you're responsible for that data and we handle it only on your instructions, as our agreement explains.
Our website is hosted by GitHub Pages. Email is through Google (Gmail). Client websites are hosted on Cloudflare. Some of these services may process data outside the UK, with the safeguards the law requires. We don't sell your data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Enquiries that don't lead anywhere: up to two years. Client records: as long as the law requires (at least six years).
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it: email us and we'll reply within a month. If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
